Next Steps Initiative, Alumni

Participating in the Next Steps Initiative was truly transformative. Through insightful sessions on personal branding and career advancement, I gained invaluable tools and knowledge to help propel me forward. One of the highlights was forging a lifelong friendship with a fellow participant who has also become a trusted collaborator in my photography business. Witnessing peers aspire to greatness was inspiring. Personally, it reaffirmed for me the power of community in achieving goals.

Argo-Summit, Illinois, Mayor

I attended the WE CARE Health & Wellness Spring Fair hosted by The Lights  On Collective in collaboration with the Argo-Summit Community. It was very well attended and connected residents to needed resources. It was great to hear the different speakers and attendees share their knowledge, lived experiences, and testimonials. I look forward to the work The Lights On Collective will do in the Argo-Summit community, and beyond. I am excited to see the impact their work will have on people’s lives.

Signature Programs of the Lights On Collective (LOC)

The Next Steps Initiative is a leadership development program that was piloted in 2020. It is dedicated to helping build the next generation of leaders. The Initiative engages a select number of young adults, ages 18-30, through a 10-week online leadership development session. The program culminates with a “Pitch Session” that allows participants to present an idea or concept for ongoing development to a group of sponsors for monetary or mentorship support.
